Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Tierio mobile app and the tierio.site website process, why, who it is shared with, and how you can manage it. In short: Tierio has no ads, subscriptions, analytics or tracking, and if you use it without signing in, your lists stay on your device.
1. Scope and contact

This text is informational; using the app does not replace any separate consent the law may require.
2. What we process
Kept on your device
Your lists, tournaments, saved templates, tournament champions, language choice and nickname are stored on your device. Unless you sign in, none of this is sent to Tierio.
Account and sign-in
When you sign in with Apple, Google or e-mail, we process your e-mail address, the provider’s user identifier and, where available, your profile name and photo. If you choose Apple’s “Hide My Email”, the relay address is used. Signing in as a guest only creates a random guest identifier. Passwords are verified by Firebase Authentication; Tierio never sees or stores them.
Profile
The unique username you choose and any profile photo you pick in the app (scaled down) are stored with your account.
Lists synced with your account
When you are signed in, your lists and tournaments, including photos you add, are stored privately with your account so they sync across your devices. Photos are scaled down and recompressed when added.
Public lists
When you make a list public, its name, category, items and photos are published together with your username.
Community rankings
When you finish ranking a ready-made template or a public list, the position of each item is stored with your account identifier for the “Versus everyone” comparison. These records do not contain your name or e-mail; cards only show how many people ranked a list.
Party rooms
When you join a room, we process your display name, profile photo, the colour you get, your ranking in the room and a short signal that you are still there. The list chosen by the host is copied into the room for everyone in it to see.
Photo access
When you add a photo, your device’s photo picker opens; Tierio only accesses the photos you pick.
Technical data and support
When you connect, your IP address, request time and technical error details may be processed by our service providers to establish the connection and keep the service secure. If you e-mail us, your address and message are processed to answer you.

4. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the service: accounts, sign-in, sync, public lists, comparisons and party rooms — necessary to perform our agreement with you.
- Security: preventing abuse and running the service safely — our legitimate interest, without overriding your rights and freedoms.
- Handling requests: answering support and data-rights requests and meeting legal obligations.
5. Service providers and international transfers
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Hosting): accounts, synced data, public lists, rankings and party rooms. The database is in Google’s Europe region; catalog images are served from Firebase Hosting.
- Apple and Google: authentication, if you choose to sign in with them.
- Cloudflare: delivering and protecting this website.
These providers may process data outside Türkiye; such transfers rely on the conditions and safeguards required by applicable law. Your data is never sold or shared for advertising.
6. Ads, analytics and tracking
Tierio shows no ads and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. There is no tracking across apps and the advertising identifier is never accessed.
7. Retention
- Data tied to your account is kept until you delete your account.
- Data on your device stays there until you delete it or the app.
- A party room is deleted with everything in it when its host closes it. A room that ends unexpectedly may remain on the server; write to us to have it deleted.
- Support e-mails are kept for a reasonable time after your request is resolved.
8. Managing your data and deleting your account
You can delete a list at any time and make a public list private. A public list that others have ranked can no longer be deleted or made private, so their comparisons keep working; deleting your account still removes it.
Delete account: Settings → Delete account. Your username, profile photo, cloud lists, public lists and community rankings are deleted. Lists on your device stay on your device. You are asked to confirm with your sign-in method once more; if you signed in with Apple, the link with Apple is revoked too.
9. Your rights
Under Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (Article 11) and, where it applies, the GDPR, you may ask whether your data is processed, request information, correction or deletion, object, and seek compensation for damage. Send requests to [email protected]; we answer within 30 days.
10. Children
Tierio is not directed at children under 13. Do not share personal details, contact information or other people’s private photos in public lists or party rooms.
11. Security
Connections are encrypted. Access to cloud data is limited by security rules under which each user can only write their own records. No system is perfect; if you find a security issue, please tell us.
12. This website
tierio.site sets no cookies and contains no analytics or ad scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, and the server may keep short-lived access logs for security.
13. Changes
When we update this policy we change the date above, and we announce significant changes in the app or on this site.
